Sustainable Bookkeeping: Paperless in 2023
Sustainability is at the heart of our values! We actively strive to reduce our ecological footprint and encourage others to do the same. In 2023, we celebrated a significant milestone in our journey towards innovative approaches to environmental conservation.
One of our most impactful changes was the transition to a paperless office. Embracing digital processes and cloud-based technologies allowed us to reduce paper waste by an astounding 96%, while still adding a touch of color with the occasional Post-it note. This transformation wasn’t just about us; it was about setting an example for others and showcasing the possibilities of sustainable practices.
Encouraging our clients to go paperless and using convenient apps for purchase communication further amplified our positive influence while streamlining processes and reducing waste.
We also adopted electric vehicles, including cars and trendy e-scooters for local errands, to minimize carbon emissions.
Additionally, the integration of solar lights in our office illuminated our commitment to energy efficiency.
One initiative close to our hearts is our “Donate a Tree” program in partnership with Trees that Count. For every new client that joined us on cloud software, we donated a tree and contributed to reforestation efforts, leaving a lasting impact on the environment.
We also transformed our operations into a carbon-neutral hub. We were recognised by the Selwyn Sustainable Business Awards, earning us the Silver award last year, and our continuous environmental changes in the past 12 months solidified our position as influencers in sustainable business practices.
As we continue to grow our influence and reduce our carbon footprint, we remain at the forefront of advocating for sustainable business practices.
